Aberlour's incredibly series of heavily-Sherried single malt has reached its 60th batch, and as ever, it's an delicious dram jam-packed with chocolate, raisin and festive spice notes. Aberlour continue to get their hands on great Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks to mature the whisky in, and we continue to be impressed with each release.
Nose: Brandy butter, cinnamon buns, a touch of sun-dried tomato.
Palate: Brown sugar, dark chocolate, Christmas cake drenched in rum, flamed orange peel.
Finish: A generous handful of cinnamon, clove and black pepper.
