This new Glenfarclas Family Cask bottling was selected from a 4th-fill sherry butt laid down to mature in 1994. This sort of refill cask offers a very mild and slow maturation style, with the spirit character allowed to show its influence without being overshadowed by the oak. Distilled in 1994 and bottled on the 2nd of December 2014 at a natural strength of 56%. One of just 640 bottles available worldwide.
Nose: Creamy, a touch of rum, slightly tropical.
Palate: Gentle tannins, mixed peels, a touch of winter spice.
Finish: Long, gently spiced with subtle fruit.
