Edradour Straight From Cask 2012 10 Year Old Sherry Cask #159 Whisky 500ml
A 2012 Edradour single malt from its Straight From The Cask series that was matured in a single sherry butt for 10 years, before being bottled in July 2022.
This newest expression from Edradour's famous 'Straight From The Cask' series offers this natural, cask-strength whisky from one of Scotland's smallest producers.
Typically these selections from Edradour offer a very strong, dense and rich flavour from the wood - think rum balls, whisky-soaked Christmas pudding and fruit mince pies. The mouthfeel is bold, with a burst of peppered spice, marmalade dryness and the tang of bitter mint chocolate that lingers.
Nose: Plenty of sherry character, dried prunes and figs, cinnamon, and candied orange peel.
Palate: Hot cross buns, with rich spiced fruitcake, and drizzles of treacle.
Finish: Allspice, pepper, and candied ginger.
