Highlands is the largest producing region for Scotch whisky. Known for popular whiskies such as Dalmore, Oban, Glenmorangie, and McCallend. Highlands tasting notes are traditionally nutty, cereals, and honey.

From Jura, Skye, to Talisker, Islands surround Scotland's mainland. The Scottish Islands aren’t recognised by Scotch Whisky Regulations but slip in as Highlands whisky. Due to the geographical distances and natural materials grown on each island, the flavours can change dramatically but generally have a more smokier and peated flavour on the palate.
