Distilled in the north-east of Islay, this whisky displays the maritime notes and wet smokiness that you all will expect but the notes of smoked cheese and smoked meat are subtle and not overbearing. The dram also has a creamy and biscuity nature that helps provides a soft finish.

Nose: Maritime notes, burnt orange skin, flint, granite.

Palate: Peat, smoked cheese, smoked meat, subtle, zesty.

Finish: Creaminess, lemon meringue pie, cheese cake, biscuits, wet smoke.

Caol Ila Information

An Islay distillery known for its consistency, Caol Ila is situated on the east coast of the island. One of the lighter spirits produced on Islay, it combines a slight fruitiness and hint of pepper with the expected peatiness and sea shore notes.

Its historical significance for blends meant that, until 2002. independent bottlers were vital in allowing whisky lovers to experience the Caol Ila single malt - so we are delighted to be continuing this tradition.
