Ardnamurchan AD09.22 Cask Strength Whisky 700ml

The latest release of Ardnamurchan's cask strength expression has arrived, seeing a vatting of primarily peated whisky from American oak barrels, and a smattering of ex-sherry unpeated casks too.

The aroma starts with orchard fruits and eucapytus, moving to a savoury - smoked cheese, oyster shells and fish n' chips at the seaside. To taste, a rich butterscotch note covers wooded tones of cigar boxes, with a hay-like earthyness and briney character. A lingering tangy spice of galangal (ginger-like) and soft peat smoke embers round out the finish.
