Beefeater Gin 1000ml
Alcohol content: 40 %
"Created by James Burrough in the 1800s, Beefeater is the only international premium distilled gin that is produced in the centre of London. Even the name Beefeater has its roots in the city. Inspired by the yeoman warders - also known as Beefeaters - who have always stood watch at the Tower of London.
The original recipe devised by James Burrough has stood the test of time and Beefeater has become the most awarded gin for the last 10 years.
Unlike many of our competitors Beefeater is still bottled at 40% abv ensuring maximum flavour and enjoyment in every bottle.
Beefeater Gin is handcrafted by our team at the Kennington Distillery, under the watchful eye of Master Distiller, Desmond Payne. It is still produced using the recipe that was created by our founder, James Burrough.
The unique Beefeater recipe has changed little since the days of James Burrough. Beefeater’s crisp, clean, well balancedflavour is still derived from 100% natural ingredients, known as the botanicals, which are brought to the London Distillery from all over the world. The principal botanicals in Beefeater Gin are juniper, coriander and citrus peels, which provide the freshness and lift. The other botanicals in the recipe add complexity and depth.
The quality of James Burrough’s gin was first recognised at the International Exhibition of 1873 when it received the coveted Gold Medal. Ever since then, Beefeater Gin has won more awards than any other gin and is consistently placed in the top three at the world’s most prestigious spirit competitions."
