This 1997 Ledaig single malt from Tobermory distillery has been matured in a single refill hogshead for 21 years, before being bottled by Douglas Laing in February 2019, as part of its Old Particular series.

Produced from heavily-peated barley at the Tobermory distillery, this Ledaig (the original name of the distillery) has a signature aroma that is only described as meaty - smoked, salty and savoury.
The peat smoke has softened after 21 years of maturation, but still coming through with maritime and sea-side flavours intertwined, ending on milk chocolate and ginger biscuit spice.
A wonderful example of the old-fashioned and charming character of Ledaig. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 49.6%
