Distilled in 2009 at the Craigellachie distillery, this new two-cask bottling from Cadenhead is a perfect introduction to the joys of cask strength whiskies, bottled without filtration or dilution.
Nose: Pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. Gooseberries with nettles and chocolate powder
Palate: Some dark chocolate and a faint trace of dry smoke. Soft brown sugar with some saltiness and a touch of roasted pineapple.
Finish: Grassy and herbal with hints of hay, sage, oregano and fresh cut grass.
