Glen Garioch 10 Year Old Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

A ten-year-old single malt from the Glen Garioch distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. 

Batch 2 is a run of 251 bottles, released at 47.8%.

This one is full of barley and biscuit notes, a touch of aromatic oak with a backbone of citrus and a slightly herbal finish.

"Glen Garioch is pronounced 'glen geery'. Right, now that we’ve got that out the way… Glen Garioch was founded all the way back in 1797 in Oldmeldrum, making it one of the oldest Scotch whisky distilleries around.

"So of course there’s something about time travel on the label of our Glen Garioch! Ryan Chetiyawardana has gone back to 1977 to check out the greenhouse which Glen Garioch heated using the waste heat from their stills. How’s he done that then?"
