We are delighted to announce the arrival of one of the most anticipated whisky releases of 2025, the second ever release from The Isle of Harris distillery: The Hearach 'Oloroso Cask Matured'. ( Please note orders will ship out from 19th Feb 2025 )

Following on from the worldwide critical acclaim of their first release, this new sherry cask matured whisky offers a balance of sherry wood notes and unique coastal influence from the distillery's sea-side maturation on the remote Isle of Harris.

Fully matured from a parcel of first-fill, ex-Oloroso sherry casks, this Hearach has a rich, aromatic and bold quality, bringing together the distillery's lightly peated spirit with the hand-selected sherry casks from bodegas Miguel Martin in Spain.

“Initially there are aromas of cinnamon, orange peel, and cloves, and there are green notes of mixed herbs and the creaminess of white chocolate. When sipped, I can taste wood smoke and walnuts shells. The dram develops with a herbal hint of dried thyme closely followed by burnt oranges. Spices then come through, like vanilla pods and a subtle sense of cloves, before a long leather and liquorice finish.”
