Sagamore Sherry Cask Finish Rye Whiskey 750ml

In a process not commonly seen with American whisky, this new expression from Baltimore's Sagamore spirits sees their straight rye whiskey given an additional 18 months finishing in ex-PX sherry casks.

The opens open sweetly with sticky dried fruits, dates and chocolate figs, rounding out with a walnut and almond nuttyness. To taste, the bold spices layer with cocoa and a thick and resinous tang of fresh American oak. A great combination of rye & ex-sherry cask flavours that is rarely seen quite like this.
